
Colson Baker(born on April 22nd on the 22nd of April, 1990) popularly referred to as Machine Gun Kelly (MGK), is an American musician, rapper, songwriter, and actor. His dual genre of hip-hop and alternative rock is what made him famous. The mixtapes he released were four between 2007 and 2010, and then signed to Bad Boy Records. His debut album called Lace Up (2012 which peaked at the 4th spot on the US Billboard 200), featured his hit single "Wild Boy" featuring Waka Flocka Flam. His second and third albums, General Admission (2015) and Bloom (2017) had similar commercial success; the latter also contained the hit song "Bad Things" (with Camila Cabello) which reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The fourth album, Hotel Diablo (2018) was a rap-oriented album. Machine Gun Kelly's fifth album, Tickets to My Downfall was released in the year 2020. The album marked an unorthodox departure from hip-hop and a move into the world of pop punk. It debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, the only rock album to achieve that in the year it was released, and featured the hit single "My Ex's Best Friend" and climbed to the top 20 of the Hot 100. It was a commercial hit similar to with its follow up Mainstream Sellout (2022).Machine Gun Kelly had his first role as a lead in the romantic drama Beyond the Lights (2014), and since appeared in the thriller based on a techno concept Nerve (2016), the horror Bird Box (2018), the comedy Big Time Adolescence and portrayed Tommy Lee in the biopic The Dirt (both 2019)
