Her birthplace was Santa Monica in California on 26 November, 1986. She is the only daughter of Vincenzo Barba. The family moved from Point Pleasant New Jersey when she was 6 years old. For her schooling, she completed her studies at Red Bank Catholic High School in New Jersey. After that, she went to Catholic University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in architecture. She also played the violin since the age 4, and was also known for her role as Violin Lady. Because of her talent her performance, she received the name of Violin Girl. She also taught children from the locality playing the violin. When she was nineteen, she appeared on Season 6 of American Idol and sang the 1976 hit single Free. She was however eliminated from the show after she finished 16th place. The singer sang a variety of songs, such as 'The Christmas Song in 2009' and 'Out for Blood' 2010, among others. Also, she has appeared appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! as well as various other television shows. Antonella Barba rose to stardom as a singer in America during the 6th Season of American Idol. The singer began her career in film after her elimination from American Idol following the sixth season. In the past, she appeared in smaller films, as well as appearing in Fear Factor Season 2012 in the role of a contestant. Daily Mail reported that on 21 November 2019, she was handed the equivalent of four years of imprisonment for conspiracy to sell fentanyl. The singer pleaded guilty to possessing more than 400 grams of fentanyl with the intent to sell it during July.
