Despacito was first released by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi in 2017 and became the top-streamed track within 6 months. It was a combination of pop and reggaeton that attracted attention to Latin music but as well reggaeton. Billboard's Top 100 had four songs mainly in Spanish in 2016, compared to two in the year 2015. The Despacito album reached its peak chart-topping success in 2017, 19 tracks primarily made in Spanish reached into the Top 100. It climbed to 41 by 2020. Justin Bieber remixed Despacito 2017 with a version in two languages. Soon, other artists collaborated with Reggaeton stars including Drake and Bad Bunny with MIA (2018), Madonna and Maluma together with Medellin 2019 From the beginning of 2020, a few reggaeton artists were unhappy with the way it was moving towards popular. Rauw Alajandro is a participant in a fresh generation that aims to change the course. The musician incorporated electronic dance music and other genres into his songs.
